Associate Attorney

Shannon Connery, Esq.

Family law litigation, motion practice, and settlement.

Attorney Connery has built her entire career inside family law. She has appeared at more than one hundred hearings in the Probate and Family Court, and she is the lawyer who turns a client’s situation into the written argument a judge can act on.

Focus of practice

Attorney Connery focuses her practice on family law litigation. She represents clients from the first intake conversation through to trial and manages every stage in between, including pre-trial motions, conciliation, negotiation, and settlement. She has appeared at more than one hundred hearings in the Probate and Family Court. She negotiates settlement agreements covering parenting plans, custody, support, and the division of marital assets. She is a member of Dalton Murray’s litigation and mediation team.

Written advocacy that carries the case

Much of what decides a family law case is written down long before anyone stands up to speak. Attorney Connery drafts complex motions, oppositions, and memoranda built on close statutory and case law analysis, and carries out the legal research behind them. That written groundwork is what turns a client’s situation into an argument a court can act on, and it is the part of a case most clients never see.

From the inside out

Attorney Connery came to the practice of law from inside it. She began as a legal assistant in New Haven, Connecticut, researching and summarizing precedent in family, housing, and criminal matters. She then spent close to four years as a paralegal at a family law firm in Salem, Massachusetts, drafting pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, and oppositions, and managing client billing and the firm’s client trust account, all while she completed her law degree. She was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in November 2023 and has practiced as an associate attorney ever since. That route means she understands a family law file at every level, from the docket entry to the trial.

Background and education

Attorney Connery earned her JD (Juris Doctor) from New England Law | Boston in 2023, graduating cum laude and reaching the Dean’s List in every year of the program. She was named a New England Scholar for finishing in the top ten percent of her class, and the school recognized her on its Public Service Honor Roll for her pro bono work. She holds a BS (Bachelor of Science) in Criminal Justice from the University of New Haven, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2019 after four years on the Dean’s List.

Bar admission and recognition

Attorney Connery was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in November 2023. She was selected to the Massachusetts Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in 2025 and again in 2026. In 2026 the National Academy of Family Attorneys named her to its Top 10 Under 40.
